As Nigerians prepares for the 2023 general election, we analyze the chances of the three major parties in the country.

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Kaduna State, Mr. Felix Hyat, has stated that the chances of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, his party’s Presidential candidate are extraordinary bright.

He said that Atiku’s focus as he told PDP delegates would be to unite country ensure adequate security and create jobs. He further added that “Nigerians must unite to save the country and strengthen the economy that’s Atiku’s focus. He also said that they need to secure the country from bandits hat is difficult for even local farmers to produce food and also with the current insecurity even the roads are mp longer safe which has stagnated our economy.

The all progress congress (APC) contented that it’s presidential candidate Asiwaju bola Ahmed Tinubu would surely address the cry of marginalization that has also become a common feature among politicians and the electorate in the country, the party described Tinubu as a bridge builder who is accommodating, resilient, with a vast knowledge of the people cutting across all regions, who sees every Nigerian as his fellow countryman.

The party further said that “Tinubu, is blessed with a robust and fruitful relationship with Nigerian across the geo-political zones and indeed every state. His passion for youth development and engagement makes him different from others.

According to the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), has dismissed the report of a factional Labour Party (LP), insisting that there is only one LP and Dr. Peter Obi as its presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election.

In the statement by its president, Azuba Wabba, NLC urged Nigerians to be cautious of agents of destabilization, contending that the leadership of the NLC and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria TUC “recognize the leadership of the LP led by Julius Abure, a former trade union leader and workers are part of the leadership. There is only one Labour Party in Nigeria. For the purpose of public education and clarity we will take recourse to history. The Labour Party is the creation and offspring of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

The decision to give birth to the Labour Party was taken by the statutory organs of the NLC and affirmed by the decision of the National Executive Council of Congress at its meeting in Bauchi. In 2003 when it approved the formation of the party for social democracy (PSD). It was at the inaugural convention of PSD in 2004 that NLC decided to change the name of PSD to the Labour Party and it has remained so since then.
