The Creation of local Police Forces like Amotekun might be the best alternative to tackle Banditry in the nation.

The successful creation of the Western Nigeria Security Network popularly known as Amotekun in the West has yielded quite a meaningful outcome as it has helped in tackling of Fulani herdsmen and other banditry activities.

Eastern Nigeria also created their own security organization popularly known as Ebubeagu to help tackle the issues of herdsmen killings though due to infighting amongst the governors of South Eastern Nigeria States the security organization haven’t yielded a meaningful outcome like it’s neighbors.

If the Northern regions of Nigeria which has been worst hit by bandits, Boko Haram and the rest of them will follow suit, it go a long way in tackling insecurity in Nigeria.
