The famous Nigerian Reality Show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), has become the hottest and the mostly trending TV Show in Nigeria since it’s inception, but one might ask, of what benefit is it to Nigerian youths which seems to be it’s primary audience.
The first season of the show first aired from 5 March to 4 June 2006.
The new season is set to start come July 2022, which will be the 7th Season of the show but of what essence and knowledge is it to Nigerian youths.
If a survey was to be carried out today, many will “tick” for the show to be cancelled due to it’s negative impact to the youths.
To say the least, there’s no positive impact one can point out that the show is having on our youths. From it’s wild parties to unclad female housemates to topics of s3xua! discussions which has no impact on the youths.
Most of the housemates do engage in s3xua! Intercourse in the house and openly discuss their escaped while their millions of fans watching them on TV glorifies their actions.
The 7th edition of the show is set to start on July 23, 2022 and many youths are already excited about the new season.
Hazel Oyeze AKA “Whitemoney” Onou was crowned the winner of the sixth season and took home with the sum of ₦90 million worth of prize money.
As the new season starts, it will be a time of laziness for our youths who are going to be glued to their TV sets all the while watching the most popular TV show in West Africa.
Whatever the case maybe, the truth still remains that the show will continue to be a controversial one in Nigeria as it literally has no benefits whatsoever to Nigerian youths or than mere Entertainer.
