
The pride of Nigeria economy and largest city, Lagos, was ranked 171 out of 172 countries surveyed by the EIU, the same position of last year ranking, which means that the city is ranked second in “Most Unlivable City In The World” ranking.
This has been labeled a “tragedy” as the city posses every quality to be among the best cities in the world.
Many factors has contributed to this tragic scenario which has befallen the economic powerhouse of Nigeria from terrorism to conflicts and so on.
Lagos is the most concentration of powerful headquarters for foreign and local companies and Entertainment industries in Nigeria.
Unless the federal government starts a progressive strategy to reverse these steady decline of the city, by next decade Lagos might as well become a forgotten story of a once mighty city in Africa.
