The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been slammed for brutally murdering youths peacefully protesting against their ironclad way of carrying out their affairs on internet fraudsters.
One of such acts was the recent protest in Ughelli Delta State on Tuesday 4th October, which turned ugly and resulted in the deaths of three youths while 12 EFCC’s trucks were burnt by the angry youths of the community.
The bloody incident resulted in the Delta State’s government ordering an investigation into the incident.
Another recent protest took place in Oyo, Ibadan with youths taking to their numbers to demand for an end to the agency’s brutality while looking fraudsters in the city.
Though no life were lost during the protests, but the rate at which youths are demanding for accountability by the crime agency for their brutal onslaught needs to be investigated by the federal government to avoid our youths falling plea to EFCC’s bloody rain of terror across the country.
