Today being 13th day of July, 2022 made it the 5th month since Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) went on strike due to none compliant of the Federal Government to meetup with the association’s demands.
One may ask why is this so with the vast wealth of Nigeria and yet they couldn’t cather for the needs of their education body which is the pillar of any nation that wishes to move forward.
There has been numerous meetings by the body and the Federal Government yet none has been fruitful.
Outspoken Labour Minister Chris Ngige has come out numerous on popular media networks to assure that the federal government is working together with the education body to see an end to the strike, yet nothing to show for it.
The government has claimed that they don’t have money to meet up with the body’s demand, yet billions are being embezzled everyday in the country and our kids are out of school for the last 5 months.
The earlier the government come to their senses and broker a deal with ASUU the better for our country Nigeria, it’s youths and the future of the nation.
